A one button game about timing: a little leap of faith. One tap, 240 paper challenges across 48 chapters. Discover scissors, blossoms, carousels and folding fans, collect stamps and unlock new discs.

Paper is a one button game about timing: a little leap of faith, played online in your browser. You wait on one of two paper tabs, and one tap sends you across to the other. Both tabs are always safe, but the space between them fills with moving paper. Cross at the right moment and avoid the dark pieces.

There are 240 challenges in 48 chapters, each built from patterns and a finale. Sliding tiles, gates and folds come first; later chapters bring swinging paper, pinwheels, little trains, scissors, paper blossoms, carousels and folding fans, 25 kinds of motion in all. The last chapters combine them into a clockshop, a fireworks show and a paper wonderland.

If you love one-tap reflex games like Flappy Bird or rhythm-and-timing games like Geometry Dash, Paper is the calmer, cleverer cousin: you choose when to jump, and waiting is always safe.

How to play this one button game

Click, tap or press Space to cross from one tab to the other. While you wait on a tab you're safe, so watch the paper move and pick your moment. Touch dark paper while crossing and the run ends. Each challenge needs two good crossings, and clearing a chapter unlocks the next.

Features

  • 240 timing challenges in 48 chapters, with 25 motion families to learn
  • One continuous run: chapters blend into each other without stopping
  • Close cuts: passing near dark paper builds a multiplier from x2 to x5
  • Stamps to collect, and 6 disc designs that unlock as your stamp collection grows
  • Pickups that carry over: clear-screen, slow motion, protection and +5 points
  • Paper trail: start from any chapter you've unlocked
  • A second book at a slightly faster speed once you finish the first
  • Plays in portrait or landscape, with progress and high scores saved in this browser

Tips

  • Waiting is free. Watch one full cycle of a pattern before you go.
  • Cross through the middle of a gap, not its edge: openings move while you fly.
  • Go for close cuts only when you're confident; the multiplier isn't worth a lost run.
  • Grab stamps on the first and fifth crossing of each chapter to unlock new discs.
  • Keep slow motion and protection for the finale of a chapter.

FAQ

What is a one button game?

A game you play with a single input. In Paper, one click, tap or Space press is all you need: it makes you cross from one tab to the other.

Is Paper a reflex game?

It's more about timing than speed. You're safe while you wait, so the skill is reading the moving paper and choosing the right moment.

How many levels are in Paper?

240 challenges across 48 chapters, then a second book at a slightly faster speed.

Can I play Paper online without downloading?

Yes. It runs in your browser on a computer, phone or tablet, in portrait or landscape, and saves your progress in that browser.

Do I have to start from chapter 1 every time?

No. Clearing a chapter unlocks the next for good, and the paper trail lets you start from any unlocked chapter.
